Gregorio Ladino was the winner of the 2007 Berks Packing Company Top Dog King of the Hill Challenge at the Commerce Bank Reading Classic Pro Bike Race.

 

BERKS FOODS “TOP DOG KING OF THE HILL CHALLENGE” TO BE FEATURED AT THE COMMERCE BANK READING CLASSIC

May 27, 2008: Berks Packing Company, aka Berks Foods, will again present a “race within the race” when the 2008 Commerce Bank Reading Classic Pro Bicycle Race rolls into Reading on June 5th, 2008.

Cyclists in the Commerce Bank Reading Classic will have to climb Reading’s scenic Mount Penn up a winding road known as Duryea (Dur-e-a) Drive on the last three laps of their 75-mile journey around the course on the second leg of the Commerce Bank Triple Crown of Cycling.

On each of the final three laps, the first three riders will score 5, 3 and 1 point respectively and the rider with the most points after the final three laps and climbs will be hailed as the winner of the 2008 Berks Top Dog King of the Hill Challenge in the Commerce Bank Reading Classic Pro Bicycle Race! Last year’s winner of the hillclimb challenge was Gregorio Ladino.
